Great to hear.  Glad it was something so simple to fix.  Enjoy your new place!

Thank you for your response,

Landlord finally contacted me she was actually out of town and her husband fixed the problem it was in fact a breaker but, everything that you said to do I had already done.  But, there must have been a breaker that I didn't turn on right or something because she called me to let me know that the power problem had been fixed and thankfully the A/C works well.

Respectfully,

Heather

NO outlets or light fixtures in the ENTIRE unit work????  Have you tried turning all of the breakers off and on again?  They may have been flipped during a storm.  Breakers can appear to be on, but they aren't.  Turn them off then back on.  Also, look for a seperate breaker (out of the box) for the A/C system.  It is normally located beside the furnace or the A/C unit outside.  Flip it off then on.  Or look for a red reset button on the furnace itself or just beside it.  I could see a few outlets perhaps not working, but all of them must be a breaker problem resulting from a surge.

You say you have contacted the LL. Did you call or send a written request by certified mail?  (You should be sending it certified mail, return receipt requested.)  The same storm may have disabled her phone or the cell tower near her home.  Try these things, contact the LL in writing, then see what happens.

I recently rented a space that I have not moved into yet.  Here is the problem.  I turned the power on with the electric company and upon inspection.  I found that the a/c doesn't seem to work.  The electrical outlets and light fixtures don''t work not any of them.  The only appliance that was in working order was the stove.  I  have contacted the Landlord about the problem she has not returned any of my phone calls.   What do I do I am moving from another state into Arkansas and I need to know what Arkansas law says about my rights as a tenant.  Please I am in desperate need of advice.
