| PA requires a 30 day notice to vacate. Go to the legal resources link above and click your state. Even though state and local law vary from state to state, it is my interpretation that a pet fee is a non-refundable fee to allow the pet to live on the premises. In other words, pet rent. A pet deposit is used for any damages the pet may have incurred. You state you are on a month to month. Even though 5 years have passed, I would ask for written clarification of the fee and pet deposit if it is not stated in the lease. Hope everything is to your satisfaction.

| Does Pa require a full month notice (meaning the first to last day of the month), or just a 30 day notice to vacate from a month to month lease? Also, I paid a pet deposit and monthly pet fee. Does the monthly pet fee apply to any damages that may have occured due to the pet or just the deposit? Neither issue is adressed in the original lease that was signed five years ago. When It expired I did not re-sign and have been month to month since.
